German Gold Pound Cake
2 cups sugar
1 cup butter
3 1/2 cup cake flour
1 cup milk
6 egg yolks
1 1/2 teaspoon double acting baking powder
2 teaspoons vanilla
1/8 teaspoon salt
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease and flour 10" Bundt or 9 X 5 loaf pan.
In large bowl with mixer at high speed beat sugar and butter until light and fluffy.
Add flour and rest of ingredients at low speed until mixed.
Then beat at high speed 4 minutes.
Pour into Bundt pan and bake for 1 hour or for loaf pan bake for 45 to 50 minutes!
