Summer Sausage
2 pounds extra lean ground beef 1 cup water 2 tablespoons Morton Tender Quick Salt 1 teaspoon ground cayenne pepper 1 teaspoon nutmeg ½ teaspoon liquid smoke 1/8 teaspoon garlic powder ½ tablespoon black pepper Mix seasonings with water, add ground beef. Mix well, using a wooden spoon. Shape mixture into three rolls. Wrap rolls in plastic wrap and refrigerate for 24 hours. Bake in preheated 350 degree oven for 1 hour and 15 minutes. Place rolls on drain while baking.
